Sam Trammell was cast as "Sam Merlotte" - Sookie's boss who runs the local bar 'Merlottes' in Bon Temps. His history prior to his arrival in Bon Temps is a little murky however and he's harbouring quite the secret. But, what isn't a secret nor a mystery is his loyalty he feels towards his friends, or the length to which he would go to protect those closest to him. Trammell previously had a starring role in the short-lived road trip series "Going to California" playing 'Kevin 'Space' Lauglin' for the show's 20 episodes. Sam has made a number of guest appearances including "Dexter", "House MD", "Bones", "Numb3rs", and "Medium". His film credits include "Autumn in New York" (2000), "Beat" (2000) and "Undermind" (2003).
