David Tennant and Georgia Moffety from Doctor Who
Born to actors Peter Davison and Sandra Dickinson at just four minutes after midnight on Christmas Day 1984, Georgia attended St Edwards School in Oxford. She retained her father's real name (Peter Davison is the stage name for her father, his real name is Peter Moffett - however was unable to register it with Equity, as there was another actor by the name Peter Moffett at the time) before pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
She has performed alongside her father in Red Dawn (as Tanya Webster), a Big Finish Doctor Who audio drama. She has also had roles in many other television dramas, including Peak Practice, Like Father Like Son and The Bill, as Sam Nixon's troubled teen daughter Abi - who was featured in a number of major storylines. She took on a recurring role in the ITV drama Where the Heart Is, for the 2004-2005 series as Alice Harding. She has appeared alongside her father (playing his daughter) in the BBC sitcom, Fear, Stress & Anger and starred in the comedy-drama, Bonkers, as Debbie Hooper in 2007. In April 2008, she appeared as Officer Penny Bishop in the BBC sitcom My Family. Georgia reportedly auditioned for the part of the Ninth Doctor's companion Rose Tyler in the 2005 BBC revival of Doctor Who, although the role eventually went to Billie Piper. She also auditioned for a role in the Agatha Christie episode of Doctor Who. She was unsuccessful but impressed the producers so much she was offered a more substantial role in a later episode..... In "The Doctor's Daughter", the sixth episode of the 2008 series of reviews/wvm, Georgia played Jenny, a person created from the Doctor's own DNA - an in-joke, as her real life father is an actor who played the Fifth Doctor.
She appeared as "Kylie Roman" in the BBC Three show - [spooks] Code 9 and is (still) to appear as Lady Frances Derwent in an Agatha Christie "Miss Marple" story called "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?" to be shown on ITV (2010?).
She has recorded a Doctor Who New Adventures audio book, reading the story "Snowglobe 7" written by Mike Tucker and has voiced the character of Cassie Rice in a Doctor Who Animated Adventure called "Dreamland" shown on BBC Children's Television in November 2009 (UK).
Georgia made a brief appearance in one episode of The Bill, reprising her character of Abigail Nixon in June 2009.
A set of three Doctor Who documentaries - Doctor Who Greatest Moments - made by the Doctor Who Confidential team (which aired in the UK during August\September 2009) featured Georgia as one of the interviewees, speaking as herself about the character of Jenny and about The Doctor in general.
In September 2009, Georgia played the part of Heather, a new Junior Doctor in the long running BBC Hospital Drama Casualty. This marked her second appearance in Casualty, having played the character of Elaine in 2007 for one episode. November 2009 saw Georgia playing the part of Lady Vivian (Daughter of King Olaf) in the second series of the BBC Fantasy Drama Merlin.
Georgia is to star along with Will Mellor and Clive Mantle in a new sitcom for BBC Three called White Van Man, in which she plays the character of Emma. Filming is due to start in Summer 2010 in and around Manchester.
